Made of high quality 18 10 stainless steel.  The cutlery handles (stems) have a mostly satin bead-blasted (ie a soft, matte look) finish, that contrasts beautifully with a mirror finish (a bright or mirrored finish has a highly reflective polished surface) on the base of the stems (ie the ends/tips) of the cutlery. The mirror finish also adorns the fork tines, spoon bowls and knife blades.  The cutlery is dishwasher safe, and comes with a 50 year guarantee.  (The warranty will not apply where the care instructions were not followed, or where the damage is caused by the customer).
